Ilkay Gundogan has taken to social media to send a message following Germany’s elimination from the World Cup 2022 group stages.
Germany celebrated a 4-2 victory over Costa Rica in their final World Cup group stage game on Thursday, however, it wasn’t enough for them to qualify for the round of 16 as they finished 3rd in Group E.
Gundogan played all three group-stage games and scored one goal.
Taking to Instagram, he shared a long heartfelt message.
