Kai Havertz breaks silence following Germany EURO exit

Kai Havertz has taken to Instagram to share a message following Germany early exit from EURO 2024 after a defeat against Spain.
Germany faced Spain in the quarter-finals and suffered a 2-1 defeat. Julian Naglesman’s side were one of the favorites to win the tournament, however, they are exiting it early following the defeat.
Havertz made 5 appearances during the tournament in which he scored two goals and provided one assist.
“Hugely disappointed exiting the tournament. It’s one we went in with hopes and dreams of winning a home tournament. The support within the stadium, and around the country has been incredible!” he wrote on Instagram.
“Thank you for backing us all the way. Proud of the team and everyone involved in the journey to this moment. We have an exciting squad and we’ll come back stronger. DANKE 🇩🇪 🖤❤️💛 “
