Marcos Alonso, the former Chelsea defender, was asked by ESPN to choose between N’golo Kante and Sergio Busquets, but he was unable to provide a clear answer.
Former Chelsea and current Barcelona defender Marcos Alonso was recently put on the spot by ESPN when he was asked to choose who he believed was the superior midfielder between N’golo Kante and Sergio Busquets.
Alonso, who enjoyed a successful stint with Kante at Chelsea, as well as his current team, Barcelona, with whom he shares the pitch with Busquets, appeared stumped by the query.
During the quickfire questions segment, the Spain international was asked to choose between the two world-class midfielders, both of whom he has had the privilege of playing alongside. Despite the pressure of the question, Alonso remained diplomatic in his response, stating simply: “Both.”
Alonso’s measured response to the difficult question posed by ESPN exemplified his respect for both midfielders and demonstrated his diplomacy both on and off the field.
