Pep Guardiola believes Vincent Kompany could become Manchester City manager one day.
The Citizens are set to play against Burnley in the FA Cup quarter-finals according to the draw. This means Guardiola will face his former player, who is currently in charge of the Clarets.
Ahead of City’s Premier League clash versus Newcastle United, Guardiola shared some warm words about Kompany and the work he has done at Burnley. The boss also backed the ex-Citizens’ star to be the club’s manager one day.
“Sooner or later he [Kompany] will be City manager, I am not sure when. I have not spoken to him but he knows the club. The destiny is there,” Guardiola said, via Manchester Evening News.
