PSG considers AC Milan’s Rafael Leao as a potential replacement for Lionel Messi amid rumors of his return to Barcelona.
Reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is eyeing AC Milan’s Rafael Leao as a potential replacement for their star forward, Lionel Messi, who may be returning to Barcelona.
Leao, has a contract with the Serie A side until 2024. However, negotiations for an extension may take some time as AC Milan is keen on keeping the talented player.
While PSG has not yet made any official statements regarding the matter, Leao’s performance in AC Milan has caught the attention of the French club. The 21-year-old has made 30 appearances this season, scoring six goals and providing four assists.
If Leao were to join PSG, he would be joining the ranks of fellow Portuguese player, Nuno Mendes, who was signed by the club in the summer of 2021. However, it remains to be seen whether or not a deal between the two clubs can be reached.
