U-23 AFCON Qualifiers: Ibrahim Tanko invites three foreign-based players ahead of Gabon clash

Black Meteors head coach Ibrahim Tanko has handed call-ups to three Ghanaian players abroad to augment his squad ahead of the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifier against Gabon on March 23, 2019 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

According to a report by ghanacrusader.com, the players invited are former West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) duo, Majeed Ashimeru who currently plays for St. Gallen, Musah Nuhu and former Tema Youth player Joseph Paintsil who plys his trade with Belgium side KRC Genk in the Jupiler League.

Twenty-four local based players are already in camp preparing ahead of the qualifier.

The Black Meteors will welcome Gabon's Under 23 side for the first leg of their qualifiers for the CAF Under 23 Tournament which also serves as the first stage of qualifiers for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
