U20 Women's World Cup qualifiers: Ghana coach Ben Fokuo positive ahead of Uganda return leg

Black Princesses coach Ben Fokuo is confident of qualification to the next round of the U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers ahead of the second leg meeting with Uganda.

Ghana host Uganda on Saturday in Cape Coast with a 2-1 advantage from the first leg played two weeks ago in Kampala.

“We have been preparing hard since we came to Cape Coast. We had a training match against Combined Forces and you can clearly tell that the girls are ready for the task ahead” Ben Fokuo told ghanafa.org

“We missed our skipper, Evelyn Badu in the first leg but she is back for the return fixture. The team is poised for action and I believe in them to get all maximum points” he added.

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is slated for Costa Rica in August 2022.

The winner between the two teams on aggregate this week will progress to the final stage and face off with the aggregate winner between Tanzania and Ethiopia.

Tanzania beat Ethiopia 1-0 in the first leg at home.
