Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin wants to hold onto midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah whose future is being speculated.

The Ghana international has been linked with Manchester United and Italian champions Juventus.

Guidolin-who guided the club to secure an automatic UEFA Champions League spot-hinted a leaving but has since clarified his position to stay on.

He believes Asamoah will be crucial for his side's ambitions next season.

"I hope that the club leave Kwadwo Asamoah with me, he’s a real strength," Guidolin said in an interview.

Asamoah has been invited for Ghana's two 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zambia next month.
