UDINESE REASSERT COMMITMENT TO ENVIRONMENT AT WORLD FOOTBALL SUMMIT

Published on: 28 September 2022

Udinese Calcio was present at the World Football Summit in Seville on Wednesday as the club's green policy and commitment to the environment continue to garner attention on the world stage. The club took part in a panel at the prestigious annual meeting for football stakeholders on the best steps to be taken to make football more environmentally sustainable. Magda Pozzo outlined the many activities and run by Udinese to protect the environment, which includes involving the club partners in the initiatives.

“It was a great honour to represent Udinese at the World Football Summit,” Magda Pozzo said. “This is the biggest challenge facing football in the next 10 years. As a club, we have reasserted our mission on both a local and international level along with our partners, who are a real driving force behind Udinese.

“We're proud to convey these values to all and to continue pursuing our green approach together with them, in line with UEFA's bid to make football increasingly sustainable – for example through the 4R framework (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recover), which we already implement and will look to further – and the collaboration between UEFA and the Lega Serie A regarding the football sustainability strategy 2030.”
