Udinese reject €12m Manchester United offer for Kwadwo Asamoah

Italian side Udinese have rejected a €12 million offer from Manchester United for Kwadwo Asamoah, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Ghana international is sought-after by a host of clubs including newly-crowned Italian champions Juventus.

This means Asamoah will remain at the Friuli and play in their UEFA Champions League campaign.

Last month, Turkish side Fenerbahce claimed they had reached an agreement for the talented creative midfielder.

"Juventus are certainly interested, but he is an Udinese player and the club is in the Champions League preliminary round next season, so it’s unlikely they’ll sell unless there is a big offer," agent Stefano Antonelli told Sport Mediaset.

"In any case, there are another two or three extremely important clubs who have made it clear they intend to reach an agreement for him."

Asamoah has been named in the Ghana squad for next month's 2014 FIFA World Cup double-header against Lesotho and Zambia.
