Ghana or England? Where will Kobbie Mainoo play

Kobbie Mainoo has been shining for Manchester United during this season.

The youngster has made overall 18 appearances in which he has scored two goals and provided 2 assists.

His impressive display for the Red Devils has caught the attention of England head coach Gareth Southgate.

Mainoo is currently eligible to play for both Ghana and England national teams. The 18-year-old currently represents England U19.

As per Daily Mail, the United starlet is planning to keep his international options open until later this year.

“He’s doing brilliantly,” said Southgate, speaking after the UEFA Nations League draw.

“I’m not certain he’s necessarily going to be a defensive midfielder, as such.

“He’s quite a progressive player but he’s had a fabulous start to his career and it will be good to monitor him as we go forward.”
