Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov revealed that he wrote UFC President Dana White about Islam Makhachev after Brazilian Charles Oliveira defeated American Justin Gaethje.
“Frankly, this is the first time since we started communicating that Dana hasn’t responded to me. I texted him, ‘Hey, nobody else should fight for the title. It should be Islam.” I texted him something like that, but I didn’t get a reply. I think Dana was busy. This is the first time this has happened, but it’s normal. Everybody makes mistakes. He’ll come back stronger,” ESPN MMA quoted Nurmagomedov as saying.
Makhachev has 22 wins and one loss in mixed martial arts under his belt. Oliveira has 33 wins and eight losses in MMA on his record.
Could a Charles Oliveira win over Islam Makhachev bring Khabib back to the octagon? ??
