Manchester City has officially announced that Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland’s transfer has been agreed.
Having undergone a medical in Brussels the previous day, Holand will join City on 1 July.
Speaking to the press earlier on Tuesday, City head coach Josep Guardiola couldn’t help but speak out on the matter. He told them to wait for confirmation, which has now arrived.
“Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City have told me I’m not allowed to say anything until the deal is done. Everybody knows the situation. I shouldn’t talk because I don’t like to talk about the future or next season.”
“New players always help to be a stronger team. But not one defender or striker will solve our defensive or scoring problems. The club always has to have a vision for the future. The decisions the club makes I am aware and supportive of 100%.” the BBC quoted Guardiola as saying.”
Manchester City can confirm that we have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Erling Haaland to the Club on 1st July 2022.
The transfer remains subject to the Club finalising terms with the player.
