Verstappen is currently leading the F1 standings despite finishing seventh in the Singapore GP. The Red Bull Racing driver is on the course of winning the World Championship title for the second year in a row with five races left in the 2022 season.

While Verstappen finished seventh, his teammate, Sergio Perez won the race.

Taking to Instagram, the 25-year-old posted: “A messy and frustrating weekend for me that ended in P7 today. This is not where we want to be, but we move on to Japan. I’m looking forward to race on the great track in Suzuka, next week 🇯🇵

“Congrats to @schecoperez on the win today, a very strong performance.”
