Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction One – Handicap (+5.5) for Lehecka – 1.55.
Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction Two – Total Games Over 20 – 1.72.
Ruud was unimpressive in his last match. He made a lot of mistakes against Cerundolo. If Casper continues to play like this in the next match, he won’t be able to beat Lehecka easily.
Lehecka performed well against Etcheverry. Jiri literally destroyed Tomas. He seems to be well prepared for the competition in Gstaad. He may well put up a fight against Ruud.
Ruud failed to defend his title in Bastad last week.
To the surprise of many, he did not make it past a single round. In his first match, Casper lost to eventual winner Francisco Cerundolo (4-6, 6-3, 5-7), who had never beaten a top-10 contender before.
Ruud will also have to defend his title in Gstaad. This time, world #5 is likely to be more focused.
Last year, Ruud dropped only one set at Gstaad. In the final, Casper defeated Hugo Gaston.
Ruud has notched up eight wins in his last ten matches as a favourite.
Lehecka defeated Tomas Etcheverry (6-1, 6-3) in the first round. Tomas took one game in the first set and three in the second. Overall, the opponent put up little resistance.
Last week, Jiri played the Challenger in Iasi. In the quarter-final, he lost to Luciano Darderi (6-4, 6-7, 4-6).
On the Challenger in Salzburg, Lehecka played even worse, losing in the second round.
The main success of Lehecka this season is reaching the semifinals in Rotterdam. At the other ATP tournaments, he has only two wins on the main draw level.
Lehecka has lost his last four meetings against the top 50.
In 4 of Lehecka’s last 5 matches, more than 9.5 games have been played in the first set. We offer to bet on “1st Set Games – Under 9.5” with odds of 1.95.
