Prediction on West Ham United vs Leeds United
We predict Leeds United to beat West Ham United 2-1 at the London Stadium in the Premier League and this is why. Leeds United held Newcastle to a 2-2 at home last weekend. West Ham will have only two days to rest for the game after beating AZ Alkmaar 1-0 on Thursday in the Conference League. Leeds are keen on avoiding relegation and if they replicate the same energy as the Newcastle game, they are likely to end their horrendous run of poor form with a win over West Ham this weekend.
Although I have backed Leeds United to win, I still believe West Ham United are increasingly likely to get on the score board as well, hence suggesting the total goals could exceed three. Leeds United’s last game ended with a 2-2 draw against Newcastle United and as a result, I’m anticipating both teams to score and total goals over 2.5 goals.
Match Preview on West Ham United vs Leeds United
West Ham United reached the Conference League final after they beat AZ Alkmaar 1-0 in the Netherlands on Thursday night, one week after they had won the first leg 2-1 in England. The Hammers will now focus on avoiding relegation this season and will look to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League against Leeds.
Leeds United have lost three and drawn two of their last five Premier League matches. They drew 2-2 against Newcastle last weekend and a win over West Ham this weekend will take them out of the relegation zone. The Whites will be without Firpo due to suspension after the left-back received two yellow cards against Newcastle.
Predicted Starting Lineups
West Ham United: Fabianski, Cresswell, Aguerd, Zouma, Kehrer, Rice, Soucek, Paqueta, Benrahma, Antonio, Bowen
Leeds United: Robles, Ayling, Nissen, Wober, Struijk, McKennie, Koch, Greenwood, Harrison, Bamford, Rodrigo
