Uganda coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has lamented the sacking of Kwesi Appiah as Ghana coach claiming the constant hiring and firing by African countries retards the development of the game on the continent.

Appiah was dismissed despite collecting four points from a possible six from the two opening games of the AFCON 2015 qualifiers.

The Ghana FA claimed both parties reached a mutual agreement to go separate ways last Friday.

Appiah’s exit came days after drawing 1-1 with Micho’s Uganda at the Baba Yara Stadium.

“We spoke well after the game and he was really confident of winning the next game,” Micho told GHANASoccernet.com.

“We all have bad days in the office and football is not logic you win some draw some and lose some but the most important thing is having the ability to always play the game in the right spirit.

“Another important aspect of the game people forget is continuity and that really important we have it in this continent.

“I am really sad to hear he has been sacked.”
