Under-fire Real Tamale United head coach Mohammed Gargo has received the full backing of the management team with seven matches to end the season.

RTU lie at a parlous 15th place on the log sheet and that it looks like the ex-Ghana international cannot save their league campaign.

The Tamale-based side have four home matches a including a difficult task against in-form Asante Kotoko.

But Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Nurudeen is optimistic the side will avoid the drop with Gargo in charge.

"He (Gargo) will be in charge of the club till the end of the season and that's non-negotiable because we believe we’ll not be relegated and stay in the top flight," Nurudeen said.

"What he needs is our total support and not try to put unnecessary pressure on him. We have some four games at home and we’ll get good results and then fight our way in the last three away matches."

RTU have escaped relegation by the skin of the teeth for the past two seasons.
