Uriah Asante will sign for Tunisian giants Etoile du Sahel by the end of the week according to his agent Isaac Tetteh.

The 19-year-old is a free agent haven completed his loan spell with Hearts of Oak at the end of the last Premier League campaign.

Asante has become a subject of intense transfer speculations due to his free status and was widely tipped to join Asante Kotoko after the Premier League champions made an official bid for his services.

However, the Pure Joy player looks set to join the nine-time Tunisian league champions after a four-year deal worth in the region of $600,000 is believed to have been struck.

“Uriah (Asante) will sign for Etoile by the end of this week,” Tetteh told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

“There were about four offers but the one with Etoile stood tallest amongst the lot.

“There were some issues raised with their conditions which dragged the deal a bit but they have assured to allay these concerns during which time Uriah has been in Ghana.

“He will therefore sign for them (Etoile) I am sure by the end of this week.”
