Ghanaian champions Hasaacas Ladies have perfumed their football artistry at the inaugural CAF Women's Champions League where they have progressed to the final.

Not only have they dominated opponents with their athleticism and knocked them cold with some violent combinations on the pitch, the Sekondi-based side have been resplendent in their kits- produced by Icarus.

In September this year, the US-based sportswear signed a partnership deal to provide technical equipment for both the men's team [who play in the National Division One League] and the women's team.

The quality of the home and reserve jerseys used by Hasaacas Ladies at the tournament in Egypt has enhanced the brand equity of Icarus Football.

Their products have received massive endorsements across board and made them a household name in Ghana.

After their opening 3-1 win over Malabo Kings, there were rave reviews about the quality of their apparel as well as excellent performance.

In Ghana, Icarus also have sponsorship deals with newly-promoted Ghana Premier League side Bibiani Gold Stars and Division One League outfit Ebusua Dwarfs.

Design

The home jersey uses a subtle pattern comprised of ‘The Giant’ in the Hasmal Club Crest, while the collar and side panels contain a different pattern drawn from the Club’s Crest. The main base colour is a darker green than previous years’ designs.

Material Quality

The fabric that Icarus uses is very high-quality polyester that has low GSM (grams per square meter).

This means that they are both light to wear and moisture-wicking. Sweat moves quickly to the fabric’s outer surface and the shirts dry quickly without saturating the fabric. The side panels are constructed from a butterfly mesh material, which makes it far cooler to play football. As a result of this technology, the shirts are comfortable to wear as the body can regulate its temperature efficiently.

The crewneck and sleeve cuffs are made from a micro-ribbing material. The pattern is applied to the jerseys via sublimation printing techniques that ensure the design does not fade easily when washed responsibly.
