Bologna midfielder Godfred Donsah has emerged as a target for US Sassuolo in the ongoing transfer window.

Donsah joined the Gialloblu from Cagliari in 2015 but his time with the side has been blighted by injuries which has prevented him from playing with continuity.

The 22-year-old is reported to be on the verge of departing the club after coach Filipo Inzaghi made him train with the Primavera - a move which angered the Ghanaian representatives.

According to Calciomercato, US Sassuolo are closely monitoring the situation in Emilia-Romagna as coach Roberto De Zerbi sees the Ghanaian as a direct replacement for Alfred Duncan.

Donsah's arrival will depend on the future of his compatriot who is a transfer target for AC Milan, Inter Milan and SS Napoli.

He has played just a game for Bologna in the ongoing campaign.
