Asked by SuperDeporte about the chance for Valencia to sign Italian international striker Simone Zaza (25), currently on a deal with Juventus until June 2020 and playing on loan for West Ham (with much disappointment from everyone involved in English club), sports director Jesus Garcia Pitarch stated: "Basically the biggest challenge is that the salary he's earning at West Ham is absolutely exorbitant. But that could be negotiated. I don't know what the coach thinks about this, but if we could reduce his wages, he is a player that we can evaluate".
