Fiorentina midfielder Borja Valero promises that his side will fight until the end as La Viola mount an assault on the Scudetto.
Paulo Sousa’s side concluded the first half of the campaign in second place with a 2-0 win over Chievo and the Spaniard wants his team to preserve their impressive form heading into the second part of the season.
“Nobody believed in us, now we are proving not to be afraid of anyone,” Valero told Sky Sport Italia.
“What did I ask for at Christmas? To continue winning games, although I’d like to score a few more goals.
“Sousa makes us understand that every game is important and we feel that we’re a great group.
“The coach gives us goosebumps.”
The Fiorentina boss had previously dismissed talk of the title, but Valero has claimed that his side will be among those vying for the title come the end of the season.
“The Scudetto? We will fight until the end,” added Valero.
