Clubs will stick to the venues on which they play their opening home league matches throughout the 2011/2012 season, the Premier League Board (PLB) has directed.

Hitherto, clubs were granted permission to switch home grounds for a variety of reasons during the course of the season but this allowance has now been scrapped.

"The Premier League Board wishes to inform all clubs that it shall not entertain any application for a change of venue after the commencement of the League," the PLB said in a statement.

Mighty Jets readily comes to mind as the last team to benefit from this privilege in the last campaign where they were granted permission to switch the El-Wak Stadium for the Akosombo Park citing low patronage as their motive.

The big kicks off for the new season has been fixed for October 9, 2011 and 16 clubs will compete to dethrone Berekum Chelsea as League Champions.
