Inter Allies coach Tony Lokko has revealed the club will be without captain Victorien Adebayor in the upcoming season because the Nigerien is on the brink of leaving.

Adebayor is closing in on a move to Denmark, the coach confirmed but failed to name the club.

He was the club's best player last season as he netted 12 goals in 13 games and they were hoping he would stay for the new season.

But it appears, the offer from Denmark is the best interest of the club and the player, so Allies have approved the move.

“Truth to be told, Adebayor won’t be with us in the coming season because he is on his way to Denmark. For now, I cannot name the club but what I know is he is going to Denmark. I will reveal the club after his signing. We will not see him in the GPL next season, Lokko said in an interview.

The new season is set to start on November 13 after the coronavirus-induced ban on football was lifted this month.
