There was no rest for the Ghana team as they returned to training early Sunday morning.
The. Black Stars had 12 hours earlier recorded an important 2-0 win over Mali in the second Group D game of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
And are now plotting the downfall of Guinea in the final group fixture on Wednesday at the Stade de Franceville.
A win will firmly seal Ghana's place in the quarter finals of this tournament where either co-host Gabon or Tunisia awaits depending on how the final round of group matches pan out.
Sunday's session was further boosted by the return of captain John Mensah.
The 29-year-old who is eligible to face Guinea after serving out his two-match suspension has been out for days with a thigh strain.
It is however unclear at this point whether he is fit enough to play a role in Wednesday's game.
