Black Stars coach Charles Akonnor and captain Andre Ayew reacted to Friday evening’s slim 1-0 victory against Ethiopia at the Cape Coast Stadium.
It wasn't a bright performance from Ghana but fortunately for them, they made the important winning start in their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign.
It took a howler by Ethiopia goalkeeper Teklemariam Shanko who let Mubarak Wakaso’s long-range effort slipped through his hands and end up at the back of the net for the Black Stars to secure victory despite dominating proceedings.
The win puts Ghana on top of Group G because South Africa and Zimbabwe shared the spoils in Harare earlier in the day.
