John Boye is elated after picking up the Man-of-the-Match award in Ghanaââ¬â¢s opening group game at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Stade Renne defender who was making his Nations Cup debut excelled in the Black Stars narrow 1-0 win over Botswana on Tuesday in Franceville.
His impressive display was duly acknowledged by organizers, winning him the most valuable player in the process.
But the appreciative 24-year-old insists the award will only spare him on to achieve greatness as a player.
ââ¬ÅI am very happy for myself and I thank God that I was able to prove to people that if given the chance I can do it,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅThe sky is our limit and I will keep doing my homework to make sure I do more.ââ¬
