Video: Boye shares excitement after winning Man-of-the-match award

John Boye is elated after picking up the Man-of-the-Match award in Ghana’s opening group game at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Stade Renne defender who was making his Nations Cup debut excelled in the Black Stars narrow 1-0 win over Botswana on Tuesday in Franceville.

His impressive display was duly acknowledged by organizers, winning him the most valuable player in the process.

But the appreciative 24-year-old insists the award will only spare him on to achieve greatness as a player.

“I am very happy for myself and I thank God that I was able to prove to people that if given the chance I can do it,” he said.

“The sky is our limit and I will keep doing my homework to make sure I do more.”
