VIDEO: Former Ghana President John Mahama's message to Black Stars ahead of World Cup

Published on: 19 November 2022

Former Ghana President John Mahama has challenged the Black Stars to do the country proud at the World Cup in Qatar this year.

The Black Stars are back at the global tournament for the fourth time after missing out on the 2018 edition, and Ghanaians are optimistic about their chances ahead of their opener against Portugal.

In a Facebook video, Mahama said the time has come for the Black Stars to make their presence felt at the World Cup.

He also rallied support for the team, saying that the 26 invited players and technical team had done their part by answering the national call to represent Ghana, and it was now up to the citizens to do their part by supporting the team.

Ghana will play Portugal on November 24 before taking on South Korea (November 28) and Uruguay (December 2).
