Ghana captain Andre Ayew did not hide his disappointment and blasted Gabon over their lack of sportsmanship during Friday's clash in Yaounde.

With the Black Stars leading courtesy of Ayew's stunner in the 18th minute, the Panthers scored a late goal to snatch a point.

The goal led to a melee after the game as Black Stars players felt they were robbed because Gabon did not exhibit fair play.

In the closing stages of the game, Baba Rahman kicked the ball out of play for attacker Daniel-Kofi Kyere to receive treatment following an injury.

Ghana thought they would receive the ball back from Gabon, but instead, the Panthers effected a throw-in and started an attack with Guelor Kanga playing the ball to Jim Allevinah, who struck a low left-footed shot across Jojo Wollacott’s bottom right-hand corner.

Ayew protested to referee Lahlou Benbraham about the goal to no avail and he reacted angrily when asked about the incident at the presser.

“We had the ball out because our man was on the floor, we expected them to give us back the ball but they went on to score. I am very disappointed in Gabon. “he said.

Ghana now need a win against debutants Comoros to qualify from the group.
