Ghanaian defender Jordi Osei-Tutu sent a strong message to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta over the weekend following another distinctive display for VfL Bochum in the German Bundesliga II.

Reports indicate that the Gunners boss wants a new right-back to challenge Hector Bellerin.

The Emirates Stadium outfit have earmarked Norwich youngster Max Aarons as a possible candidate to challenge the Spaniard but the club's finances is likely to end their interest in the player.

Arteta could turn his attention to Jordi Osei-Tutu who is making waves in the German second-tier league with VfL Bochum.

After initially struggling to cement his place as a regular in the Bochum first-team, the 21-year-old has been in fine form more recently, albeit in a more advanced role.

Osei-Tutu continued his impressive form for the Blue and White lads with a goal against Greuther Furth in a 2-2 draw at the weekend.

The Ghanaian prodigy has now scored four goals and registered one assist in his last 10 appearances for the German side.

Bochum sit sixth in the table after the result.
