Hearts of Oak drew 1-1 with regional rivals Liberty Professionals on Sunday to win the Ghana Premier League for the first time since 2009.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh striked first for Hearts with a header from an Ibbrahim Salfiu cross.However with a few minutes to end proceedings, Kwame Paul scored late in the second half to snatch a point at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Despite the draw, Hearts head into final game of the season four points ahead of Kotoko who were beaten by Bechem United at the Nana Gyeabour Park.

The Rainbow boys currently seat top with 61 points after 33 rounds of matches.

Hearts of Oak will be handed the trophy at Sogakope when they take on West African Football Academy in the final game to be played on Saturday July, 17.
