Black Stars newboy Kassim Nuhu says Kwesi Appiah is on course in building a fortified squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Young Boys player has been a revelation this year after getting a crack at international football under Appiah.

He played his first competitive match on Sunday, 12 November, 2017 in the 1-1 draw with Egypt in a final 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Appiah failed to rescue Ghana's campaign as the Black Stars missed out on a fourth consecutive World Cup finals berth.

He has turned attention to Nations Cup and Nuhu believes the ex-Ghana captain

''I think the way he's doing the team is really good and as you said he's building a new team,'' Nuhu told Ghanaweb in an interview.

''Everybody must come and show what he has and do his maximum best for the nation because we are all playing abroad but we want to help the nation and that's what we came here to do.''
