Video: Kumordzi scores in Greek top flight

Ghana and Panionios midfielder Bernard Yao Kumordzi scored in the Greek top-flight on Saturday but they ended up losing 2-1 Panathinaikos.

The lanky grabbed the consolation for his club after goals from Ninis and Katsouranis had given the home side the lead.

Kumordzi’s quick turn in the box directed a wayward kick into the net to give his side some hope.

They were not able to grab the much needed equalizer but they Ghanaian player left the pitch with an impressive showing.

Kumordzi’s pass to his team mate in the 65th minute was blasted wide with the only the goalkeeper at the striker’s mercy.

His long range effort in the in the 74th minute went just wide before he found the consolation for Panionios.

Kumordzi is among the 20 players selected for the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan in Accra next month.
