Nana Ampomah is unhappy his goal and assist could not help Waasland-Beveren bag the points at Charleroi on Saturday in the Belgian Jupiler League.

The Ghana international opened the scoring on 15 minutes-his seventh league goal of the season-in the 2-2 draw.

The 22-year-old collected a pass from Franko Andrijasevic to sublimely fire home from close range.

Five minutes later, he provided the assist for Floriano Vanzo to double their lead.

But Waasland-Beveren could not hold onto the lead and allowed Charleroi to pull one back in the 24th minute through Massimo Bruno.

The home team snatched the leveler just before the hour mark through Victor Osimhen.

''I wouldn’t say I am happy but I am happy the way we fought in the game. We needed the three points but unfortunately we got one so we will go back to the drawing board and work for the next game,'' Ampomah said in a post-match interview

''It’s good to score and give an assist but if the team does not get the three points, it doesn’t say anything so we just have to work hard and let the team get the points and see what happens.''
