Defender Daniel Opare is backing Ghana to win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
The Standard Liege right-back in a video message to his Black Stars teammates, says he is looking forward to the team returning victorious with the African cup.
Ghana has not won the Nations Cup in 31-years but is aiming to break this trophy drought this term in South Africa.
And despite a slow start to the campaign with a 2-2 draw with DR Congo, the 22-year-old Ghana international who missed the AFCON through injury is backing his compatriots in the Black Stars team to emerge victorious at the end of the tournament.
ââ¬ÅI would like to wish my country good luck in the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅI believe in my country, I believe in all the players who have been selected for the Ghana national team.
ââ¬ÅAnd I am praying so much for them so that they can win the ultimate and come back to Ghana with victory.ââ¬
Ghana will be playing its second group game against Mali on Thursday haven thrown away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with DR Congo in the opening Group B fixture on Sunday.
