Ghana striker Richmond Boakye put up man-of-the-match performance in Jiangsu Suning FC's 0-0 draw with Beijing Renhe on the resumption of the Chinese Super League on Tuesday.
Boakye had a blistering header tipped over the frame by Beijing Renhe goalkeeper Lie Zhang in the fifth minute.
He came knocking again in the 24rd minute when his first attempt from just outside the box was blocked but his second attempt on his weaker left foot drifted wide.
In the 58th minute, Boakye's goal bound header on a corner kick was saved on the goal line by agile Zhang.
Boakye was put through clear on goal in the 67th minute but he shot wide- very uncharacteristic of the prolific poacher.
In injury time, he had another header cleared off the line.
