Video: Waris excited to be working with returning Black Stars trio
Abdul Majeed Waris

Abdul Majeed Waris is delighted to be playing alongside Michael Essien, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Andre Ayew all together in the Black Stars team.

The Spartak Moscow is training with the combined trio for the first time in his young international career.

Boateng, Essien and Ayew are making returns to the Black Stars after taking leave of the national team for some considerable time.

Their return has increased the quality in the depth while raising confidence amongst the passionate Ghanaian soccer fans.

And Waris who is working with the trio all-together for the first time has recognized the positive energy and immense experience they bring to the squad ahead of the deciding 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia.

“I think it is very great to have such experience and fantastic players in the team because it brings some energy into the team,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“Their motivation and the way they stand behind the team is very good and I think it is positive to have them in the team.”

THIS FOOL DOEN NOT DESERVE A Call up. HE HAS ONLY PLAYED LIKE 3 GAMES FOR HIS RUSSIAN CLUB. PLUS HE IS COMING IFF AN INJURY. AA, IS THIS THE TYPE OF CRUCIAL GAME U NEED TO CALL WARRIS FOR? HE IS COMING OFF AN INJURY. DONT U THINK HE WILL BE MINDFUL OF HIS FEET IN THIS GAME? SO WHY DID U CALL HIM, WHEN AFFUM IS HITTIN ON ALL CYLINDERS. AKAMINKO IS HOT. KUMORDZI IS HOT, NANA ASARE IS VERY HOT

no need to call him a fool brother. if u think he doesn't deserve a call up, blame the coach. i do agree with u that affum would have been a better choice.

so why bring all these stars just to sit them on the bench. i dont think that will bode well with most ghanaians. we need a team that will demolish zambia, not just beat them.

Assifuah should have replaced Warris for this crucial match. Harris is warming the Spartak Moscow bench, Jordan is Warming the Marseille bench, Adiyiah is no good. Assifuah is the best at this time. If Odartey Lamptey, Emmanuel Duah, Daniel Addo , Gargo Mohammed and others were all given chance to play the Black Stars team after U17 and U20 tournament then why not Assifuah? If they lived up to expectations then Assifuah might also be. Don't think Adiyiah failed so he will also fail.

Who is Nana Akwasi Asare? How come I have never heard of him? I try to watch every single game Ghana plays be it U17 all the way up to the senior team. I heard about your fool Waris when he was ripping it up in Sweden, he even won the golden boot. I guess that is what fools do best. What Club does Nana Akwasi play for so I can keep an eye out for him. I am a pretty good judge of talent and I can tell if Nana is any good. I know Waris and I know he is pretty str_repeat('*',strlen('darn')) good and no fool at all. He was pretty impressive against Sudan, whom Zambia failed to break down in Ndola. Waris probably would have scored in Ndola if Jordan had not faked his way into the line up, scored zero goals and then threw a fit after the loss. I would be surprised if Coach Appiah does not call on him on Friday against Zambia. He would score and get an assist just as he did against Sudan, the fool is no longer injured he is ready for the rubber bullets!
