Hearts of Oak secured their second win of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season thanks to a contentious penalty decision.

The Phobians defeated the Kotoku Royals in Cape Coast thanks to a penalty in the first half. The decision has sparked debate. While some believe it was a bad call, others believe referee George Mawuli Vormawor made the correct call.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, on the other hand, couldn't care less because he smashed the ball into the net from 12 yards out.

Barnieh is quickly developing into a penalty specialist, having converted his last four penalties for both club and country.

The 21-year-old has a good chance of going to the World Cup in Qatar. Otto Addo named him to the 55-man preliminary squad on Friday.
