Franck Mbella Etouga's superb strike was enough for Asante Kotoko to beat Great Olympics in their matchday 31 encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Cameroonian who is the leading top scorer with 21 goals in the league scored with a powerful low drive to give the Porcupines the maximum three points to extend their lead at the summit of the table.

Great Olympics had the best of chances in the first 45 minutes but Kotoko’s goalkeeper Kwame Baah was brilliant enough to prevent Olympics from scoring.

Baah made three excellent saves to deny Varney Sando and Ibrahim Sulley before saving a well-struck free-kick from Raymond Grippman.

Olympics did their best to pull parity after conceding but the Porcupines were resolute in defence.
