VIDEO: Watch highlights of Black Stars first training at Accra Sports Stadium ahead of Sudan match

Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, kicked off their preparations for their upcoming game against Sudan with their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, October 7, 2024.

Eleven players, including 2 goalkeepers, 3 defenders, 2 midfielders, and 3 attackers, took part in the first training session in anticipation of the match.

The team included Mohammed Kudus, Antoine Semenyo, Gideon Mensah, Fredrick Asare, Jojo Wollacott, Elisha Owusu, and Isaac Afful.

The rest were Brandon Thomas-Asante, Fatawu Issahaku, Jordan Ayew, and Mohammed Salisu.

The players participated in a few warm-ups before going through their paces and wrapping up with kickabouts.

The goalkeepers had sessions with Fatawu Dauda, while Otto Addo took charge of the outfield players.

The team is expected to have a full house on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, when they hold their next training session.

The Black Stars’ game against Sudan in the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers is scheduled for Thursday, October 10, at the Accra Sports Stadium at 4:00 pm.

Ghana has just one point from a possible six after losing to Angola and drawing with Niger in their first two matches.
