It's been a year since one of Ghana's football icon, Jonior Manuel Agogo passed on, but the memories he left still remains fresh on the minds of many Ghanaians. 

Junior Agogo stole the heart of many fans during the Africa Cup of Nations in  Ghana 2008, including many on the continent after shockingly joining Egyptian giants Zamalek.

Agogo died on August 22, 2019 after losing a prolonged battle against stroke.

The death of the former Ghana forward was received with shock with many sports personalities and former clubs sending in words of condolences to his family and friends.

Junior Agogo played 27 times for Ghana during his international career, scoring 12 goals. He enjoyed spells in England with Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest.

Top Ghanaian personalities including Beach Soccer President Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, Singer Nana Yaa and former defender John Paintsil recounted fond memories of the player to Beyond The Pitch.
