Majeed Waris scored his ninth goal of the season as Lorient thrashed Metz 5-1 on Saturday at home to move out of the relegation zone.
The Ghana striker side-footed home after a Cabot free-kick to restore Lorient's lead in the 49th minute.
On the hour Cabot got onto the scoresheet as he raced onto a misjudged Signorino backpass and beat Thomas Didillon from a tight angle.
Six minutes later Cabot had his second as he concluded a sweeping move that featured a double one-two between Steven Moreira and Benjamin Moukandjo.
Moukandjo put the seal on it 12 minutes from time as he prevailed in a one-on-one after being slipped through by Benjamin Jeannot.
