Espanyol defendeer Alvaro Gonzalez has been targeted by Villareal, that have reportedly placed a £3.4m to sign the 26-year-old and deal could be announced today, according to Spanish publication Marca.
The former Real Zaragoza centre-back has spent last two seasons with Espanyol getting 50 appearances.
