Villarreal are confident of being able to sign Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev this summer, says AS. The wide man hit the headlines back in December when his ineligibility led to Madrid being kicked out of the Copa del Rey.
Cheryshev spent the second half of the season on loan at Valencia, but it is not year clear if he has a long-term future at his parent club. Villarreal enjoyed the Russian's services during a loan spell in 2014/15 and they are hopeful of securing his services on a permanent basis before the start of next season.
