Despite securing top-flight promotion last season, striker Abdul Aziz Yakubu has decided to remain in the Portuguese second-tier side by joining Rio Ave on loan.
The 22-year-old owned by Vitoria Guimaraes gets to star again in the league where he helped Estoril to emerge champions with a plenitude of goals.
He scored 12 goals in 28 games to play a pivotal role in their promotion campaign.
The Tamale-born is not guaranteed game time at Guimaraes and will have to continue his development in the Portuguese Segunda.
Yakubu previously played for with FC Vizela on loan before suffering a long-term injury in the 2019/2020 season.
