Volta Regional Division Two – Inter Allies beat Mepe United 3-0
Inter Allies ended the first half of the group stages on a very positive note, beating Mepe United 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The matchday five encounter at the Battor RC Park was a very exciting one in front of the local fans, who always show up in their numbers.
Just after 12 minutes, Wolji Jalal Abdulai broke the deadlock with a very fine finish. Samuel Boakye doubled the lead six minutes after half an hour.
Allies showed much strength and power in the second half, John Freeman Kofi added the icing on the cake late in the game.
The first round of the group stages produced good results for the Eleven Is To One lads as they ended the round, unbeaten.
Three wins and two draws were recorded with 13 goals scored and 5 conceded.
