West African Football Academy director of operation George Ofosuhene has faulted the bad pitch at the Nkawkaw Park for their MTN FA Cup quarter final elimination.

Okwawu United scored in the extra-time to beat the Academy side to advance to the semi-final of the competition.

Kwame Kyere Addo was the scorer of the match winner in the 115th minute.

"If it were to be a different pitch the scoreline wouldn't have been the same," he said.

"We would have beaten them hands down within 90 minutes.  We played on their own pitch which we aren't familiar to. It is also not a good pitch.

"It was a good competition. We gave the chance to score and at the end of the day Okwawu United have qualified.

"I have to congratulate them. Better luck next time. That's the spirit of the game."

WAFA SC were ejected from the competition at the same stage last year when they lost to eventual winners Medeama SC.

They were losing semi-finalists in 2014.
