WAFU U20 Championship: Ghana coach Karim Zito confident of qualification against Burkina Faso

Black Satellites head coach Abdul Karim Zito is confident about his sides qualification chances despite losing their opening game to Nigeria.

The Black Satellites suffered a 2-0 defeat in their first game of the WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations at the GSK Stadium on Sunday evening.

Goals from Ibrahim Muhammad and Ahmed Abdullai in each half of the game ensure the Nigerians picks the points at stake.

Speaking after the game, Zito indicated his side lost to a better side and has promised to beat Burkina Faso in their final group game to qualify.

“We were beaten by a better side; we had the opportunity to score but we couldn’t make it. So, this is how it is, we’ve not tasted how the whether is, we are now going to compose and come back”

“In football, you always have opportunity to make amendments so I am not down hearted, this is not the end, this is the first and we still have a match to play and we will do our best to win that match and then qualify”.
