Wassaman coach confident of survival

Struggling Wassaman United coach Yusif Abubakar is refusing to give up on their survival earning a point in the Ghana top flight on Wednesday.

The debutants are trapped in the drop-fight as they currently root at the bottom of the table with a paltry 13 points from 18 games.

Wassaman's failure to bag points at home this season has not helped matters.

They were beaten 2-0 at home by a rejuvenated AshantiGold and once again allowed Tema Youth to claw back and pick a point late on in their tie at the Tema Park.

Abubakar, who has been tasked to steer the club to safety, says his side have time to escape eviction.

''It's too early to talk about relegation because there are lots of matches to be played. I still believe we can get some crucial points to stay in the league,'' Abubakar said.
